Mental Health First Aid Training

Overview This is a 10-week course, delivered over 11 weeks, class time is 3 hours per week with an additional requirement for 3 to 4 hours per week of home study, assignments, research etc Written assignments, which on occasion may overlap, are an integral part of the course and that its essential appropriate time is allocation to both completing and submitting these on time. The minimum attendance criteria is 80% In addition to the time in class, there is a breakfast morning, typically held the Saturday of week 6 and that this is an integral part of the learning and is a mandated requirement. The enhanced learning includes elements of whole class discussion, individual work, group activities and skills sessions and that participation in all aspects of the learning is essential. The course is made up on 30 hours in class (this will include whole class work, study groups and practical skill sessions.
